RAFITH RODRIGUEZ NUEVA MARCA NACIONAL BAJO TECHO EN 800 METROS CON 1.47.86

El antioqueño Rafit Rodríguez (foto) volvió a correr en pistas bajo techo en territorio europeo, esta vez el escenario fue el Meeting Pas de Calais en Liévin, Francia.

Una marca de 1 minuto, 47 segundos y 86 centésimas fue la lograda por el semifondista colombiano, que se ubicó tercero en la serie B, la cual fue ganada por el keniata Richard Kiplagat.

Esta es la segunda aparición de Raffit, en Indoor, antes del mundial de la especialidad, que se realizará a comienzos del mes de marzo en Estambul – Turquía; y en el cual ya tiene confirmada su participación, luego de la marca realizada hoy en Francia, ya que lo avala para estar en la cita orbital, luego de bajar de 1 minuto y 48 segundos.

Carrera Atlética en Confines


Por segundo año consecutivo, Confines, el ‘Pueblito Pesebre’, le dirá sí al deporte y la sana diversión. Gracias a su alcalde, Marcos Prada Jaimes, y al apoyo de la Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia, La Electrificadora de Santander, Essa, y la Gobernación de Santander, esta población de Santander disfrutará el 26 de febrero de la mejor carrera atlética.

Confines, un pueblo cargado de historia y el encanto que guardan las poblaciones centenarias, espera recibir a muchos atletas propios y visitantes que le pondrán tenis a su corazón, en la Segunda Carrera Atlética de Confines.

Desde las 8:30 de la mañana, todos los participantes se darán cita en el parque principal para iniciar el recorrido, se espera recibir a atletas propios y también a los habitantes de Simacota, Palmas del Socorro y Guapotá para que participen en la Carrera Atlética ‘Ponle Tenis a tu Corazón’ 2012

Esta Carrera tendrá un recorrido de 6 km, que irán desde el parque principal del municipio hasta la estación de servicio el Tren (ida y vuelta), durante el trayecto los participantes se hidratarán gracias al patrocinio de Postobon.
Las inscripciones están abiertas hasta el 26 de febrero en la Alcaldía Municipal de Confines.

Anímese, póngase los tenis y apuéstele al deporte y la vida sana.

JUSTIFICACIÓN


La Universidad Industrial de Santander desde su fundación (1 de Marzo de 1948) se ha venido preocupando por la recreación y el deporte de nuestros estudiantes y de la comunidad universitaria en toda su extensión. Así mismo, el 14 de Agosto de 1988, el Departamento de deportes de la UIS, a través de su directora, la Licenciada Susana González Casallas (q.e.p.d.) y el Licenciado, Manuel Gutiérrez Hernández, entrenador de atletismo y demás docentes, organizaron la primera CARRERA ATLÉTICA DE LA UIS en conmemoración de los 40 años de fundación; dicho evento contó con la participación de 515 participantes los cuales fueron distribuidos en 11 categorías.

A través del paso de los años, la Carrera Atlética de la UIS ha mostrado un crecimiento memorable con la proyección de que en su 22 edición alcance una participación superior a los 3.500 participantes. Mejorando la participación del año anterior. Actualmente está carrera atlética esta catalogada como la segunda más importante del departamento debido a la gran cobertura regional, nacional e internacional que ha tenido. La organización de esta carrera se ha preocupado en premiar sus diferentes categorías del genero masculino y femenino con el fin de incentivar a las personas a una cultura enfocada en el ámbito deportivo, por medio de actividades recreativas, lúdicas, de integración y formación física, las cuales buscan el mejoramiento y acondicionamiento físico y consecuente a esto, de salud y calidad de vida, gracias al desarrollo y adaptación de hábitos saludables permitiendo que las personas conozcan mejor su cuerpo y sean conscientes de sus capacidades y limitaciones para aceptarse y cuidarse a si mismos . Por tal razón, el departamento de cultura física y deportes ha querido institucionalizar este evento deportivo apoyados por la dirección de la Universidad Industrial de Santander como una de las grandes carreras que se organizan a nivel mundial, generando así, espacios de recreación, salud y deporte para los estudiantes, docentes empleados de la institución y comunidad en general.
